The Hidden Cost of Chronic Disease & Sugar

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation –

I truly hope that you had a Blessed and Joyous Easter. We were very busy as we hosted my side of the family and was about 40 people. It didn’t seem as quite as stressful as Christmas, but close. The Spring storm we had didn’t help either. All in All, it was great to see everyone and catch up on the “news”. With the work that I do, I try not to berate folks on what they’re eating during the holidays, just try to get them “Back on the Wagon” of good eating habits afterwards. Just to realize that refined sugar acts like a drug and is very addictive so it’s easy to revert back to bad habits of eating it all the time. Our bodies can handle a little, it was never meant to have refined sugar, but we must get back off so as not to ruin our health long-term. I do believe that there has been some deliberate marketing out there to get us all “hooked”, which makes us spend more money on junk food, and medical expenses. Realize that if you do crave sweets, you are probably deficient in minerals, an easy fix here at Natural Health.

This information goes right along with the article that I’m sending along today on the high cost of ignoring the causes of Chronic Disease. This, of course, includes the 3 major causes of death in this country – Heart Disease, Diabetes, and Cancer (the fourth being medical treatment). Treating these chronic diseases with drugs, while helping to keep the patient alive, lends toward a never-ending income stream because you never look at the cause and therefore never actually get well. At Natural Health, that is our claim to fame – finding the underlying cause of the health issue, getting it handled, preventing more disease, and having a happy, healthy patient with good quality of life and a good prognosis for the future. As I think you’re seeing in the independent media, the medical system, and the AMA, is highly controlled by the drug companies so they don’t want to look for the cause. This turns our medical system into one of symptom management rather than true health care. As the article describes, this lends towards high costs – not only in money but loss of physical health, and loss of mental health.

Most of this is not rocket science either, just common-sense thinking. Human beings have been eating healthy, natural foods for millennia, if they could find or grow them, and not the highly processed and colored junk that we see on the grocery store shelves now. Many “foods” out there have been purposely removed of nutritional content so the bugs can’t grow on them and they can last for long periods of time on the store shelves. A true saying that I saw on social media is that the longer it can stay on the shelf, the shorter your life. And like I said before, we can handle a little processed stuff, but it can not support good health long term. Easter, like all the other holidays, are ways of getting back on the sugar. It takes knowledge, and some will power, to not fall into the refined sugar trap.
