The Link Between Sleeping Pills and Dementia

Hello Everyone in Natural Health Nation –


It was a great Spring weekend. We’re getting wind and rain which is usual. I’m also getting a lot of patients who are having sinus and allergy symptoms, that are due to the wind, from the dust and mold blowing around. We’re helping patients with our drainage tools that help the liver drain the lymphatics so that they’re not overflowing through the sinuses and irritating the eyes with allergy symptoms. We all have to breath the dust, pollen, and mold in the air so our bodies need to be working correctly to not have symptoms. Using meds, whether prescribed or over the counter, does not help the underlying cause and can actually make things worse. The liver is already overloaded and the drugs will have to be removed by the liver so makes the problems last longer. At Natural Health, we want to help the body work correctly and naturally for a real correction of the symptoms.


The article that I’m sending along, looks at the connection of using sleeping pills and Dementia. The information shows that the person is being drugged to pass out, not really getting good deep sleep. Good deep sleep is needed for all the body functions to work correctly which keeps the brain functioning at peak rather than getting weaker and weaker. I find that in my patients, they run out of the B vitamins that help the Parasympathetic nervous system to come up which is the system that helps with rest, relaxing, and repair. People that are eating a lot of processed foods and drinking coffee and energy drinks, are robbing Peter to pay Paul. You just can’t force the body to have more energy without paying for it somewhere. This is where the B vitamins come in. We have several ways to help get these necessary nutrients in the body to get sleep to be normal, helping the body, and brain, heal and function normally.


Dementia, like many other degenerative diseases (that we seem to have major problems with in the US), are only solved by environmental changes, like eating good food and detoxing. Medications, while perhaps helping symptoms, are not nutritious for the body and actually cause more problems in the long run. We, unfortunately, see patients come into the office on 6, 12, 15 different drugs (the record is 30). We work toward finding the underlying cause of their issues and try to get them off these drugs as quickly as the body can recover and not need this emergency support. Long term use of drugs does not help with healing. For example – long term use of high blood pressure medications can lead to congestive heart failure. We want our patients to get healthy and enjoy life with lots of energy and good attitudes.
