Preventing Alzheimer’s: Simple Steps to Support Lifelong Health

I hope that you’re liking winter, knowing that you probably don’t.  I was reminded by several patients that now that the holidays are done, we just have to endure until spring gets here.  This last cold snap is really no fun but it’s supposed to kill all the bugs and so on.  And not so sure that that is important as you’re seeing so many people out there with flu and colds.  Most folks forget about the immune system and don’t even realize that there are things you can do to help strengthen it, thereby preventing “catching” the flu or colds.  We do a lot of work here at Natural Health-helping patients to prevent sickness and illness, and helping them get over it quicker by strengthening their immune system with whole food nutritional products, dietary recommendations, and good quality chiropractic adjustments.  Natural Health is a great health office that combines both of these to help our patients be actually healthy, and not have to worry about over the counter decongestants and sleep remedies and junk like that.  I’ve already got several testimonials from patients this winter on how their whole family was sick except them as they had taken their nutritional supplements and did the dietary work that was needed to get them healthy.  My question to them is why not bring the rest of your family in to do the same?  It really isn’t that hard to be healthy but does take a little work and ability to make decisions when buying groceries.  But it’s worth it!

The article than sending along today looks at the things you can do to help prevent Alzheimer’s disease.  It’s a nice long list of things that basically, we use for all the other degenerative diseases of mankind as well.  The suggestions include, of course, getting on a good quality diet of whole foods and staying away from process things, get the metabolism to work correctly to have lots of energy for the body to keep itself healthy, removing the chemicals and toxins from your environment so that the body can heal itself correctly, and so on.  If we’re ever going to make this country healthy again, we’re going to have to look at what actually works in the human body and not be persuaded by all the advertising and marketing that we see on the tube, or online.  I will agree that many of these protocols we see in the advertising world may work for some people, but they don’t work for everyone and when they are  discontinued, and you haven’t changed the reason for the problem in the first place, the problem will be right back.  

Getting to the underlying cause of the problem and removing the barriers in the body that’s keeping the body from working correctly are of the utmost importance to work towards true actual health.  Folks must also be ready to be patient with themselves and their treatment schedules, because it’s taken years and sometimes decades to get to the point they’re at health wise, so it may take some time to get back to a healthier or healthy state.  But again, it’s worth it.  Who wants to end their life with cancer or being disabled in a nursing home with a disease like Alzheimer’s.  It’s actually not that hard to be healthy but you must know the ways to do it and need to know how to keep yourself on that program and why.  At Natural Health, we not only helping patients to get healthy, but we teach them how to stay that way and the reasons why it’s important to do certain things, like not eat refined flower and sugar and seed oils.  We should all want to be healthy and happy and keep America going strong.
