Hello everyone In Natural Health Nation-
I hope that you enjoyed your weekend and the previous week. I was on vacation in Florida and had a great time taking it a little bit easier then at work. Work for me is not really work because we’re helping patients get well and teaching them about health and things that are not actually work but pleasure. When I came home, the fridge was bear so I just went to the grocery store and I always enjoy, and am horrified at times, watching people checkout and see what’s in their carts. I’m always amazed at what these selections are and how long the line is at the drug counter. This country, unfortunately, does not know what real health is. Mainstream medicine is all about drugs and surgery and nothing about prevention and education. If that was the case-soda and donuts would be outlawed and school lunches would have Salads and fresh foods rather than chicken nuggets and pudding. It’s quite a sad state of affairs but we’re trying to help out that situation one patient at a time here at Natural Health, and nationally with the Nutrition Response Testing group that I’m involved with. At the risk of sounding political-let’s make America healthy again-ha.
In our health shops this month, we’re talking about summer fun and the next one coming up is about weight loss and dieting. I’ve had several conversations today with patients that are having trouble with weight loss but do not understand that eating just a little refined sugar once in a while, will cause them to flip the switch of weight gain. When that happens, they become disgusted and sometimes just give up and go to chemical or surgical treatments. These may help for a while, but when you stop the medication, all the weight comes back plus more and with side effects. Even the gastric bypass surgery only works for a while and stops the body’s ability to absorb and digest certain nutrition’s and foods. Again, it’s a matter of education and choices of what foods help a person to be healthy, and what “foods” cause a person to gain weight. When a grocery cart is lined with soda, see how wide the operator is.
The article that I’m sending along this week looks at the need for good oils and fats in the diet. These good oils and fats are so important because that’s where we get our oil soluble vitamins from. This is another debacle by the mainstream because they tell us to not use saturated fats and use vegetable oils instead, which is exactly wrong for actual health and vitality. The article is very good in explaining simply why we need good oils and fats and why we should stay away from all of the polyunsaturated fatty acids found in vegetable oils that are processed and put on store shelves. There’s been a lot of brainwashing over the past 5 to 7 decades by manufacturers and processors and mainstream medicine that keeps people sick and needing more medical treatment. Whether this has been done on purpose or by accident, the result is the same in that many, many people in this country have degenerative disease and we spend the most of any other country, by far, on “Health Care”, or what is actually disease management. At Natural Health, we know how to help a person regain health and have a happy and healthy life without the need for drugs and treatment.
